Chicago Bulls Receive: C Jusuf Nurkic, G/F Josh Hart, 2024 First-Round Pick (POR), 2026 First-Round Pick (POR)
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: G/F DeMar DeRozan
We feel we were a bit harsh on the Blazers’ recent history. We didn’t mean to be. In their defense, let us say this: Building an NBA team is hard.
For example, look at the Chicago Bulls. In 2021-22, they had 3 players who have at least made All-Star appearances.
Between DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic, one would think they’d be serious contenders – especially with strong supporting players like Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and others.
One would be wrong. The Bulls won 46 games and got eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs. They struggled to beat quality opponents all season long.

Is this the correct change?
