The Golden State Warriors wasted no time in climbing back up the mountain to an NBA Championship. After missing the playoffs for two years, they were back in the postseason in 2022 and won their fourth title in eight years, defeating the Boston Celtics in six games.

There are a lot of people that believe this was the most impressive of the team’s titles as they faced plenty of adversity throughout the season. Stephen Curry was injured in a March 17th matchup against those same Celtics, coming into the postseason without having reps for about four weeks.

Klay Thompson made his much-anticipated return to the lineup after more than two calendar years off the court. Thompson last played in an NBA game in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Draymond Green also dealt with injuries throughout the season but the Warriors received contributions from everyone on the roster.

Part of the reason that they were in this position in the first place was Kevin Durant deciding to leave as a free agent in 2019. He decided to join the Brooklyn Nets, teaming up with Kyrie Irving, instead of running it back with the Warriors following his ruptured Achilles.
