1. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have revamped their roster this offseason looking to upgrade on the wing. Malik Monk was signed away from the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Huerter was acquired in a trade from the Atlanta Hawks. In addition, they also selected Keegan Murray out of Iowa with the fourth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
With De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis being the focal point of the team, adding as much shooting and versatile defenders around them makes sense. If they are looking to raise their ceiling, even more, adding Caris LeVert to the mix would accomplish that.
LeVert has played near All-Star level previously in his career. Injuries have hampered him throughout but when he is on, he can be a solid producer. With the Sacramento Kings, he would provide some size for the backcourt, something that is lacking if they are going to start Davion Mitchell alongside Fox.
Adding him to the mix along with Monk and Huerter would give Mike Brown a versatile mix of wing players that can fill numerous roles. LeVert is likely the most versatile of the three but given the size he and Huerter have, they could play alongside each other in small-ball lineups.

Swapping Harrison Barnes for LeVert is something that both teams could benefit from. The Sacramento Kings are desperate to snap their 16-year playoff drought but have to also be realistic about expectations.
The Western Conference isn’t getting any easier and should keep an eye on the future, with LeVert presenting more upside long-term than Barnes.

Barnes has championship experience and is exactly what the Cleveland Cavaliers need on the wing. While not as explosive as LeVert, Barnes fills the complementary 3-and-D role that Cleveland needs a little bit better.
