Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Mike Conley, F Bojan Bogdanovic, G Jordan Clarkson
Utah Jazz receive: G Russell Westbrook, 2027 First-Round Pick (LAL), 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL)
We didn’t have to get very creative with this proposal. It’s practically a prerequisite for any piece involving a Utah Jazz veteran.
Of course, there are good reasons for that. The Los Angeles Lakers need an overhaul, and so do the Jazz. More importantly, they’re each in a position to help each other facilitate the type of overhaul they each need.
The Lakers need win-now veterans who can fit with LeBron James. Rebuilding is not an option for this club. This deal lands them three: as elite floor spacers, Bogdanovic and Conley will complement James perfectly. Meanwhile, Clarkson would likely run the second unit’s offense.
Moreover, the Jazz need first-round picks. This deal lands them two. More significantly, they’re highly valuable picks with the Lakers’ future so up in the air.

Frankly, the only question surrounding this deal is why it isn’t done yet. Perhaps the Los Angeles Lakers are holding out for something better. We’d advise against that. After all, Danny Ainge is liable to go make another deal elsewhere – just ask the New York Knicks.
