Milwaukee Bucks
Utah Jazz Receive: G Russell Westbrook, F Jordan Nwora, F/C Thanasis Antetokounmpo, 2027 First-Round Pick (LAL), 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Mike Conley, F Bojan Bogdanovic, G/F Grayson Allen
Milwaukee Bucks Receive: G Jordan Clarkson
If you’ve been keeping up with this offseason, you know this is basically a variation on a very popular proposal. With that said, as the rumor mill continues to grind, it’s beginning to look like the most likely version of a Westbrook-to-Utah deal.
The Milwaukee Bucks allegedly have an interest in Clarkson. That checks out. After all, the Bucks are one of the most legitimate title contenders in the NBA, but they don’t have a great candidate to carry the offense when Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday are resting.
Moreover, as we saw in the 2021-22 playoffs, if one of them is injured, they’re sunk.
Meanwhile, the Lakers allegedly have an interest in Grayson Allen. That also checks out. He’s exactly the type of high-energy floor spacer that has traditionally thrived alongside LeBron James. On the other hand, he’s not the highlight of their return here.

That would be one of Mike Conley or Bojan Bogdanovic. Still, this trade generally accomplishes everything the Lakers should hope to accomplish this offseason. It makes them deeper, and it improves the roster’s fit around James and Anthony Davis.
For a Lakers team desperate to improve, that’s worth the cost of any number of first-round picks.
