The Charlotte Hornets are in a weird place. Things are, as they stand, complicated. 

They have a franchise player in LaMelo Ball. That’s an excellent start. Unfortunately, that’s about all they’ve got at the moment. 

Losing Miles Bridges this summer hurt. With that said, the Hornets can’t afford to sit around and lament that loss. With rumours beginning to surface that Ball is pining for a more talented supporting cast, the Hornets need to provide him with one without hesitating. 

A look at this roster suggests that landing a quality big man would be a good start. Sure, the Hornets just drafted Mark Williams, but if Ball is hungry to start winning games, leaning on a rookie in their starting lineup feels like a bad decision.
