Washington Wizards Receive: G Donovan Mitchell
Once more – making changes to your roster isn’t easy. Everyone involved here is a human being with feelings.
For example, those within the Jazz brass will not find it easy to call it quits on the Donovan Mitchell era. Just a couple of short years ago, this team had infinite promise.
On the other hand, this wouldn’t be easy for the Wizards either. Kyle Kuzma just completed his first year with the squad, and it was a career-best. Moreover, Deni Avdija has begun to emerge as a strong defensive wing. Surely, many folks around the Wizards have envisioned him as a long-term part of their core.
Regardless, difficult decisions have to be made. Both of these organizations appear to have hit their ceilings as currently constructed.
