Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
As mentioned, MarJon Beauchamp is the main reason the Jazz do this deal. He looks like a player with a lot of potential in this league.
Granted, he fell to the Bucks in the draft for a reason. Questions will persist about Beauchamp’s jump shot until he answers them. With that said, he looks like exactly the type of two-way wing teams covet in 2022.
Beauchamp’s athletic gifts should make him a stout, multipositional defender in the NBA. Furthermore, he should be able to leverage them to get buckets in transition even if the shot never starts falling on a consistent basis. If the Jazz are rebuilding, he’s a smart player for them to take a flier on.
Of course, adding some veteran mentorship in Ingles doesn’t hurt either. He’s familiar with the organization, beloved by the city, and highly experienced.

Furthermore, he’s unlikely to steal significant playing time from the Jazz’s young players or compromise their draft position. If they do trade Mitchell, perhaps nothing matters more than that.
