Utah Jazz Land Haul Of Draft Capital

Utah Jazz Receive: G/F Evan Fournier, F Obi Toppin, F Cam Reddish, 2023 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2023 First-Round Pick (DAL via NYK), 2025 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2027 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2028 First-Round Pick (Swap – NYK), 2029 First-Round Pick (NYK)
New York Knicks Receive: G Donovan Mitchell

If a deal does go down between these two sides, this is probably the most likely version of it.

After all, we know the Jazz are after first-round picks. In the aforementioned Gobert trade, they received four unprotected first-rounders. Furthermore, Jazz General Manager Danny Ainge has a history of building through the draft. A deal resembling this one is likely to appeal to him.

Rumors have suggested that Ainge is seeking up to seven unprotected first-round picks for Mitchell. That feels a little ambitious to be realistic. Still, this trade would net him five along with 2028 swap rights.

If that’s the best Ainge can do, he ought to take it. Otherwise, we should assume he’s not interested in trading Mitchell.
