Why The Milwaukee Bucks Do The Deal

In some ways, it could be argued that the Bucks can’t afford this deal. On the other hand, could they possibly resist it?

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant would be one of the very most talented duos in NBA history. Their inside/outside dynamic would be unstoppable for opposing defenses. Would the pieces around them really be so lacking that they couldn’t win?

Consider this a bet that they’d make it work. The Bucks would still have 3-and-D big man Brook Lopez in the middle. Adding sharpshooter Joe Harris alongside Durant gives them one of the best floor-spacers in the NBA as well.

Otherwise, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen, and Pat Connaughton round out this roster. If Joe Ingles can return to form, he could contribute as well.
