Chicago Bulls
Coming into the offseason there were a few rumors about the Chicago Bulls looking to make a splash trade. Rudy Gobert was one of their rumored targets, but they did not want to part ways with Patrick Williams, so they ended up bowing out of the race and Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Chicago was also rumored to be looking to trade guard Coby White. White is eligible for an extension this offseason, which likely played a part in the Bulls looking to trade him away. They were willing to attach their first-round pick, which was ultimately used on Dalen Terry, to White to facilitate a deal.
White remains on the roster and if the Bulls are still interested in moving him, the Mavericks would present a good trade partner. White has the size and skill set to play either backcourt spot, which makes him a good fit for Dallas.
White could play alongside Luka Doncic or Spencer Dinwiddie as the third guard in the rotation or as the lead guard alongside a different combination of teammates. He can play off the ball as a secondary playmaker where his 3-point shooting would also play well.

Dallas could send Maxi Kleber back to Chicago in a straight-up one-for-one swap and the money would work. Dwight Powell for White and Javonte Green would also fit salary-wise under the cap rules. With Goran Dragic being signed this offseason, the Chicago Bulls have more than enough backcourt depth that they can handle moving on from White.
