The Boston Celtics probably don’t want to trade Jaylen Brown. Including him in a package to acquire one of the all-time greats in Kevin Durant is one thing, as that could push them over the top as contenders. But, if Brown shows signs now of not wanting to be with them long-term, they could entertain some trade offers for him.
This trade with the Memphis Grizzlies is an intriguing one. Desmond Bane is an excellent addition to the wing rotation with his already elite 3-and-D skill set. Another jump in production and he is knocking on the door of becoming an All-Star.
Dillon Brooks is a gamer that is not afraid of the brightest lights the NBA has to offer. He needs to be reigned in at times and not being a top option offensively could help his shot selection. If he comes off the bench, he would be given more freedom offensively.
Killian Tillie is seen as a throw-in, but his skill set is something Boston could make use of. Collegiately at Gonzaga, Killie was a 3-point threat. If the Celtics could help him develop for this level, he could be a long-term answer in the frontcourt behind Robert Williams III.
