Throughout much of 2021-22, the Warriors were subject to the same criticism: If you don’t cash in on your young talent, your championship window is going to close too quickly to get through.

As it turned out, that criticism was misguided. The Warriors won the NBA title with Wiseman, Kuminga, and Moody mostly watching and learning from the bench.

Still, that may not be enough to inoculate them from the same criticism heading into 2022-23.

After all, this core is aging. Nobody could say with certainty that all of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will be equally effective next year as they were during this title run.
