Brooklyn Nets Receive: F OG Anunoby, G/F Gary Trent Jr., C Khem Birch, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2029 First-Round Pick and two pick swaps

Knowing that the Toronto Raptors, right now, are unwilling to include Scottie Barnes Jr. in the deal, this package reflects that in the draft capital. The Brooklyn Nets want as many picks as possible and the Raptors fulfill that wish.

Toronto includes every tradable pick that they have, alternating years with unprotected picks because of the Stepien Rule. Brooklyn can choose two years to have pick swaps as well to potentially give them a little more draft capital.

While the players heading back to Brooklyn aren’t All-Stars right now, they do possess some upside. OG Anunoby has the prototypical size of a dominant two-way wing. He has drawn comparisons to Kawhi Leonard as they have similar builds and career arcs.

In addition to Anunoby, the Nets are also receiving Gary Trent Jr. At 23 years old, he is only scratching the surface of his potential. He has already shown a high level of scoring prowess and has two-way potential as well with his size and length as a multi-positional defender.

Khem Birch is included to help get the salaries a little closer. He could be replaced by Barnes, and if the Raptors gave in to that demand, the draft compensation would change. Toronto would withhold two of the first-round picks and at least one of the pick swaps in that scenario.
