Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have been involved in a lot of trade rumors thus far this offseason. That is what happens when a player of Kevin Durant’s caliber requests a trade, essentially throwing your offseason plans out the window. In addition to Durant, the Nets were willing to listen to offers to essentially the entire roster.
The focus, and unsurprisingly so, has been on Durant. A trade involving him would change the landscape of the entire league. Whoever acquires him will become title contenders, but they will have to mortgage a lot of their roster and future draft capital to make it happen.
Matching up with the Brooklyn Nets for a straight-up trade is virtually impossible. Teams just don’t possess the kind of assets that they are looking for in return. The Nets have urged teams to get creative with deals, including even three or four teams so that they can receive a return they deem as fit for Durant.
Already making one trade together this offseason, the Nets could try and get the Jazz involved in another deal. It has been assumed that Durant wants to ultimately end up with the Phoenix Suns.

Alas, the possibility of them making a deal reached almost zero when Deandre Ayton had the four-year, $133 million deal that he agreed to with the Indiana Pacers matched.
But, they could still salvage the deal if the Jazz would be willing to send Donovan Mitchell to the Brooklyn Nets. He would fit the bill as the blue-chip, All-Star player the team is seeking as the centerpiece of a deal.

The Jazz can receive a majority of the draft compensation along with whatever salary filler has to be included. Durant would end up in The Valley in this scenario, with Phoenix trading someone such as Mikal Bridges or Cam Johnson to Brooklyn as well.
There would be other players involved, but that is the rough framework of what a deal could potentially look like between the Jazz, Suns and Nets.
