If the Cleveland Cavaliers had too many big men last season, they couldn’t complain to the Charlotte Hornets. That would be like a person with two homes complaining about maintaining them – to a person renting an apartment.
The Hornets needed a big man in 2022-23. Their platoon of Mason Plumlee and Montrezl Harrell didn’t cut the mustard.
The former is a solid backup, but he’s simply not a starting-caliber player.
Meanwhile, Harrell is more suited for backup duties as a combo big who can only man the 5 in certain situations.
