Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Myles Turner, G/F Buddy Hield
Indiana Pacers Receive: F/C Anthony Davis
The Los Angeles Lakers had a disaster of a 2021-22 season. Much of the blame was laid at the feet of Russell Westbrook, and to be sure, he deserved a share of t.
At the same time, Anthony Davis didn’t earn any bragging rights either. Injuries kept him off the floor on a regular basis, and when he did suit up, his three-point accuracy was ghastly.
Still, the Lakers should be able to get value for him if they did decide to move him this summer. The same cannot be said for Westbrook. In this deal, the Lakers vastly improve their spacing, which should maximize Westbrook’s effectiveness in turn.
Meanwhile, this is a no-risk proposition for the Indiana Pacers. If Davis can bounce back, they’ll return to the playoffs in 2022-23. If he can’t, they’ll still be rebuilding.

By that logic, acquiring him makes good sense. With that said, if the Lakers don’t like this package, maybe these two sides could bring in a third team to facilitate a deal.
