Washington Wizards Receive: F Kevin Durant
Some will argue that we’re dabbling in pure fiction here. Perhaps. All we ask is that you keep an open mind.
This Washington Wizards trade wouldn’t even be possible at this exact moment. As a recent rookie signing, Johnny Davis can’t be traded until July 31. Meanwhile, having been recently acquired, Will Barton can’t be moved until August 28. In other words, this only becomes possible if the Kevin Durant situation drags on.
Somehow, we can imagine crazier things than that. The Nets, apparently, are not enthusiastic about the offers they’ve been receiving in light of Durant’s trade request. That’s probably on account of, you know, him being Kevin Durant and all. Fair value will be hard to come by.
If they don’t take a deal soon, new suitors may emerge. Could the Washington Wizards throw their hat in the ring? It’s worth noting that Durant is a D.C. native that had been linked to his hometown club via free agency in the past.
