Detroit Pistons Receive: G/F Talen-Horton Tucker, G Malachi Flynn, 2026 First-Round Pick (Swap – LAL)
Toronto Raptors Receive: F/C Anthony Davis, C Isaiah Stewart, 2027 First-Round Pick (LAL)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam, F/C Kelly Olynyk
Is Anthony Davis a center? It’s a question that’s persisted for most of his career.
He looks like one. Plenty of fans want him to man the position full-time. Still, he seems to prefer to play the 4. Maybe it’s to minimize wear-and-tear, or maybe he prefers a size advantage over a mobility advantage.
Either way, this deal ensures the Toronto Raptors walk away with a center. Isaiah Stewart is a tough, no-nonsense role player who provides some rebounding and interior defense. At 21, he still has room to improve as well.
Meanwhile, this trade assumes that the Los Angeles Lakers are unable to find a taker for Russell Westbrook. In that event, Kelly Olynyk provides the floor spacing they’ll need at the 5 spot. As for the Pistons, they’re flipping one young player and a veteran for two young players and a pick swap.

We don’t expect the Raptors to flip Siakam for Davis this summer. They’re probably content with their playmaking wing/forward. With that said, if any of these deals transpired, we’d see the logic that led them to be.
