3. Circulate Evan Fournier, Cam Reddish Package

The New York Knicks traded away three veterans that will help open up some playing time on their roster. They have a deep team, which is never a bad thing, but dividing up minutes between all of those players will be difficult.

As things currently stand, New York has 11 guys deserving of rotation minutes and that doesn’t include promising youngsters Jericho Sims or Deuce McBride. Trevor Keels, their second-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, is another young player to keep an eye on.

New York has to do something to alleviate that logjam. There were some rumors that they were shopping the combination of Evan Fournier and Cam Reddish and they should continue doing that to see what they get out of the deal.

Fournier set the record for most 3-pointers in a single season in Knicks franchise history in his first season with the team. Moving on from him would be seen as a salary dump as well. Reddish could be used as the sweetener in that scenario as a high-upside young wing player.

The Knicks need spacing in their starting five that will presumably include Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson. Fournier fits the bill in that regard, but he is lacking defensively. If Fournier remains on the team, he should be shifted into a bench role with Quentin Grimes, who has already shown 3-and-D chops, taking over the starting shooting guard role.
