Phoenix Suns Receive: F Kevin Durant
As it currently stands, there are about 29 fanbases hoping their team can land Kevin Durant this summer.
Where he’ll end up is anybody’ guess. The Nets will be fielding a number of hyper-competitive offers. Generally speaking, when you have an opportunity to land Durant, you take it.
Still, some landing spots stand as more likely than others. There are teams whose only competitive package would leave them without enough help to justify trading for Durant in the first place. For example, the Nets would likely accept LaMelo Ball in exchange for the 33-year-old, but where does that leave the Hornets?
The Phoenix Suns loom as a highly likely trade partner for Brooklyn. They’re apparently on Durant’s short list of teams he’d be interested in joining.

The only other team we know to be on that list is the Miami Heat. CBA rules won’t allow them to trade Bam Adebayo to Brooklyn unless Ben Simmons is relocated, as they can’t have two players on max rookie extension a once.
Of course, the Nets don’t have to acquiesce to Durant’s demands. They could trade him anywhere. Is this package enough to incentivize them to send him to Phoenix?
