On the subject of celebrating, it was something Talen Horton-Tucker did very little of in 2021-22.

As with the Los Angeles Lakers’ season in general, his was a disappointment.

Partly, that was out of his control. Horton-Tucker has some skills, but shooting isn’t one of them. Unfortunately, the Lakers were starved for spacing. His 26.9% accuracy from distance did them no favors.

It’s possible that Horton-Tucker merely needs a change of scenery. Moving to a team that’s better built to maximize his strengths as a lengthy ball-handling wing ought to benefit his career.

After all, Horton-Tucker is just 21. He still has plenty of time to improve.
