Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets already made a trade this summer. If they’re not done making moves, the addition of Oladipo could complement that same deal.
After all, they just sent Will Barton and Monte Morris to the Wizards in exchange for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith. Some will call it a cost-cutting measure, as Smith is considerably cheaper than Morris.
Still, others will point to Caldwell-Pope’s fit to justify the move. His 3-and-D skill set is probably more valuable to a team featuring Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray than Will Barton’s secondary playmaking.
With that said, the Nuggets may have just opened a vacancy. They could sign Oladipo with the intention of having him replace Barton. In all likelihood, he won’t quite reach The Thrill’s level of productivity, but he may not be far off.
