Gary Harris
It’s been a long, winding NBA road for Gary Harris. Hopefully, it reached something of an endpoint in 2021-22.
Prior to last year, his days in the NBA were beginning to look limited. There was a time when his future looked bright. So bright, in fact, that the Nuggets awarded him with a lucrative long-term contract in 2017 that’s only now expiring.
Back then, Harris looked like one of the best young 3-and-D guards in the NBA. Unfortunately, he endured a several-season shooting slump shortly after. The Nuggets would eventually dump his salary on the Orlando Magic.
Luckily for Harris, last year brought redemption. His three-point accuracy returned, while his defense never left. Granted, he’ll never make the money that he did with his last deal.
