Chicago Bulls Receive: C Rudy Gobert
Miami Heat Receive: G Alex Caruso, F Patrick Williams, 2026 First-Round Pick (CHI)
Utah Jazz Receive: C Nikola Vucevic, G/F Duncan Robinson, G Tyler Herro
Let’s be clear: this deal does the Jazz no favors on defense.
All three of the players they’re receiving are basically minuses on that end. That’s particularly true of Robinson and Vucevic. On the other hand, they’d have a whole new attack on offense following this deal.
Vucevic gives them spacing at the center position that Donovan Mitchell has not had during his tenure in Salt Lake City. It would be interesting to see how he operates with widened driving lanes. Still, this trade is mostly about pairing Herro with Mitchell in the backcourt.
Meanwhile, the Heat may reject this trade. It’s hard to say how much they value Herro. With that said, they improve their defense by swapping him for Caruso.

Furthermore, Patrick Williams could be the perfect replacement for aging free agent P.J. Tucker. He’s a similar floor-spacing forward who provides high-level defense when he’s healthy.
With the addition of a first-round pick, that might be too much in one package for the Heat to refuse.
