Memphis Grizzlies Receive: G Bradley Beal
With this deal, the Washington Wizards receive two good young players instead of one great one.
With that said, they’re also receiving draft capital. Jackson Jr.’s trade value is likely comparable to Beal’s, so the last trade didn’t have the Memphis Grizzlies sending out any picks.
If the Grizzlies are going to convince the Wizards to send out Beal without receiving Jackson, draft capital will be a prerequisite. Still, don’t count the young players the Wizards are receiving here out. Ziare Williams has tremendous potential as a lanky wing who can defend multiple positions and create his own shots.
Meanwhile, Brandon Clarke is already established as a combo big who plays with defensive intensity and can man small-ball lineups.
