Marvin Bagley III

Regardless of whether Dejounte Murray is traded or not, the San Antonio Spurs need to continue looking towards the future and adding to their young core.

San Antonio was able to add a significant sum of talent in the 2022 NBA Draft but failed to add any real size to their roster, despite already being shorthanded in that portion of the depth chart.

The one position that’s completely unaddressed in their young core is power forward — unless they consider Zach Collins mobile enough to survive there on defense that is.

Even Collins does develop the lateral quickness to guard out on the perimeter, the Spurs could certainly use another big body on their roster, preferably someone who is still young enough to grow alongside their in-house prospects.
