Miami Heat
Unlike the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat’s 2021-22 season was not an abject failure. It still fell short of their own lofty expectations.
If one was to point fingers, they may land squarely on Kyle Lowry. His performance in the 2021-22 postseason left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the veteran floor general looked every bit of a 36-year-old.
Rozier would surely be an upgrade. Whether the Heat have the means to land him is a different question. The Hornets won’t have much use for Lowry’s contract. It runs the same length as Rozier’s and it’s a little pricier on an annual basis.
Nonetheless, we’re identifying teams that should make a run for Rozier this summer, not teams that could. If the Heat think he could be the piece they’re missing for a title run, they should be able to acquire him with a little creativity.
