3. Can Portland Trail Blazers Find A Trade Partner?
It is no secret that the Portland Trail Blazers are open for business this offseason. They bottomed out during the 2021-22 season following the procedure that Damian Lillard had on his abdomen. Now, they are looking to get things back on track.
Portland has plenty of avenues to upgrade their roster this offseason. The first chance they will have is with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, it sounds as if there is a better chance of that pick being traded than used by the Trail Blazers.
That pick has been mentioned as a trade chip in numerous mock deals. Portland has set its sights on a few different players, with Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons being mentioned most prominently. John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks has also emerged as a potential trade target. OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors is another player to keep an eye on.
All three of those players would help improve a Trail Blazers team that is looking to turn things around as soon as possible. The No. 7 pick is arguably their best asset and they seem intent on cashing it in.
