Eric Gordon
One issue the Philadelphia 76ers ran into in these playoffs was offensive depth. After Harden, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, they were dangerously low on players who could create their own shots.
They need guys who can carry the second unit while their stars rest. Doing so within a James Harden-led offense happens to be something Eric Gordon has ample experience with.
The two shared many seasons together on the then-contending Houston Rockets. Eric Gordon was a perfect complement to Harden then. He functioned as a floor-spacer when they shared the court, and a shot creator when Harden rested.
Years have passed, but Eric Gordon still looks cut out for the job. He had a solid 2021-22 campaign for the now rebuilding Rockets. We’re willing to bet he’d be happy to rejoin his former Bearded teammate in the City of Brotherly Love.
