Capela will be a suitable candidate for the position. He’s got ample experience as a pick-and-roll finisher alongside an elite playmaking guard. He learned the ropes with James Harden in Houston and continued to master the craft with Trae Young in Atlanta. Now, he’ll be the benefactor of LaMelo Ball’s highlight dimes.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks opt to keep Okongwu and send Deandre Hunter to the Jazz instead in this deal. Gobert will need a backup. If Okongwu continues to prove himself to be above that role next year, they can deal him separately.
