3. Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are in the early stages of their rebuild. They very well could end up with multiple first-round picks in this year’s draft depending on what they decide to do with Jerami Grant.
Regardless of how that goes, the Pistons should be taking a long, hard look at Keegan Murray. Murray would provide them with a scoring punch in the frontcourt, especially if Grant is eventually traded.
While he doesn’t profile as a pure center, something that Detroit is on the lookout for this offseason, Murray brings a lot to the table that would help the Pistons improve. Finding fits alongside Cade Cunningham is key and Murray would be a very good one. A player with his offensive IQ will make life so much easier for Cunningham.
Murray is excellent in the pick-and-roll, finishing with lobs regularly at Iowa. Cunningham doesn’t have a big currently on the roster to work with that can take advantage of such situations. Age shouldn’t be a deterrent for the Detroit Pistons, who need to just add as much talent as possible to the roster.

The Detroit Pistons lacked offensive options in the halfcourt last season and Murray would help turn that around. If you need a bucket, you can toss the ball to him on the wing or in the post and let him go to work.
Playing alongside versatile defenders capable of switching, such as Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Grant and Isaiah Stewart, will certainly help overcome any shortcomings that Murray has on that end of the court early in his career.
