Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: No. 1 Overall Pick, No. 32 Overall Pick
Orlando Magic Receive: 2022 No. 2 Overall Pick, No. 12 Overall Pick
Only four times in NBA history has the No. 1 pick in the draft been traded. One instance holds a pretty significant asterisk even out of just those four times.
\In 2014, after selecting Andrew Wiggins with the first-overall selection, the Cleveland Cavaliers traded the Canadian future All-Star to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Kevin Love in an attempt to build a title contender around newly signed free agent superstar LeBron James.
The last time the first pick was traded was in the 2017 draft when the Boston Celtics dealt away the foremost selection to the Philadelphia 76ers for the No.3 pick and a future first-rounder in 2019.
Then Celtics President Danny Ainge gambled that his No. 1 prospect, Jayson Tatum, would still be available at the third slot and wanted to bag some extra assets in lieu of just using the first selection to grab his favored prospect.

Aside from those two instances, the first-overall pick was also traded in 1993 when the Golden State Warriors traded away their third selection in that draft along with three future picks for the opportunity to acquire Michigan Wolverine Chris Webber. The Orlando Magic used the third pick to grab Penny Hardaway.
Lastly, in 1986, the Cleveland Cavaliers traded away Roy Hinson to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the first pick, a selection that turned into Brad Daughtery.
The Orlando Magic have a chance to trade away the No. 1 overall pick again. It turned out pretty well for them last time, so they might be motivated to take another crack at it.
