Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Mike Conley

This feels like the most obvious swap these two sides could make that lands Mike Conley on the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks, for what it’s worth, are low on intriguing young players and draft capital. They’re not a strong candidate to broker a blockbuster trade this summer. On the other hand, they may not need to in order to acquire Conley.

After all, Conley is 34. He’s a tremendously solid player, but unfortunately, a combination of athletic and size limitations have increasingly rendered him a defensive liability. His value will be solid this summer, but the Jazz shouldn’t anticipate Godfather offers.

On the other hand, they may be justified in wanting more than this. Green has potential, but his poor shooting percentages need to improve if he’s ever going to reach it.
