The Indiana Pacers are a team that could be active once again on the trade market during the NBA offseason. They got a majority of their work done ahead of the trade deadline, but there are still some moves that could be made once the summer rolls around.

Indiana parted ways with Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert, and Torrey Craig ahead of the deadline. One player that looked like he would be on the move but ended up staying put was Myles Turner.

A foot injury popped up that wiped away Turner’s trade value. Teams weren’t willing to make a deal for a player they were unsure would get back on the court this season and those worries came to fruition. Turner ended up playing in only 42 games, missing the final 40 of the campaign.

Before the injury occurred, Turner was garnering the most trade interest of anyone on the Pacers’ roster. His skill set is unique as a capable floor spacer on offense and elite rim protector on defense. Plenty of teams were looking into acquiring him, but his mark dissipated with the injury.

In the offseason, some of those teams could come calling again. Indiana should listen, as they should still be able to get some solid value for Turner. One team that could get in on the bidding is the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks could use some help in the middle, especially after trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Washington Wizards. After making a run to the Western Conference Finals without having a rim protector, it’s fascinating to ponder what they could achieve with a dynamic option like Turner.

What could it cost to get Turner back home in Texas? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical NBA trade scenario that would send Myles Turner to the Dallas Mavericks.
