Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Jerami Grant, C Richaun Holmes
Detroit Pistons Receive: G Eric Bledsoe, No. 4 Pick, No. 7 Pick
Sacramento Kings Receive: F Josh Hart, No. 5 Pick, No. 36 Pick
If you want an out-of-the-box trade idea sending Jerami Grant to the Portland Trail Blazers, hopefully, this one is up to par. Damian Lillard would have two new starters next to him in the lineup in an effort to get a lot of their work done before free agency.
Essentially, “Rip City” would also be bringing in Richaun Holmes as their new starting center, but would be sending out Eric Bledsoe’s contract along with Josh Hart and the No. 7 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft
Perhaps adding this level of talent before free agency could be used by the Trail Blazers to entice a talent like Zach LaVine to sign with them? It certainly wouldn’t hurt. Especially when considering Portland could renounce Jusuf Nurkic’s cap hold sooner.
The Sacramento Kings would basically get compensated to move down one spot from No. 4 in the 2022 NBA Draft to No. 5 by receiving Josh Hart and the No. 36 pick from the Trail Blazers. They’d also be able to turn Richaun Holmes’ contract into a wing player to pair with Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox.

For the Detroit Pistons, the outcome for them would be moving on from Jerami Grant before he needs a contract extension and being able to move up a spot to No. 4 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft while taking on the No. 7 pick, too.
