Why The Trade Benefits The Miami Heat
Whether it has been Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, or Donovan Mitchell, Miami has been linked to many superstars in order to build a big three.
Pat Riley built a variation of a “big three” last offseason when Kyle Lowry was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Raptors. He joined Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as the star power in Miami.
Now, a franchise that once brought LeBron James and Chris Bosh to town to team up with Dwyane Wade could do it once again a decade later.
Beal missed some time this season but continues to be one of the best scoring threats in the league. His numbers dipped a bit this season, averaging just 23.2 points per game, compared to 30+ over the last two years. He would solidify the shooting guard position with Herro and Robinson being sent away in this deal.

The Heat would be even more difficult to defend because of their inside and outside presence. Integrating a player with the ability to run high ball screens, be deployed in off-ball screening actions, and be a dribble handoff partner with Bam Adebayo sounds like an ideal fit.
Should the Heat actually pull off a blockbuster trade this offseason, Beal would be the ideal candidate to pursue. Moving on from Tyler Herro would be a tough move to make, but getting Beal would make the move worthwhile.
