The 2021-22 NBA season was a strange one for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Injuries robbed them of any chance they had of competing for the NBA championship. They were without Kawhi Leonard for the entire year and Paul George for much of it.

With those factors in mind, it would be fair to say they met expectations just by participating in the play-in tournament.

Next year, the expectations will be much different. To meet them, they’ll have to skip the play-in altogether. In fact, anything less than a Finals appearance may be a disappointing finish for this organization.
