When JaVale McGee first landed on the Warriors, he was widely regarded as a low-IQ player who was only in the league for his physical gifts. Now, he’s seen as a quality backup big man. If the Warriors could work the same developmental magic with Wood, they’ll be happy to make use of his elite floor spacing and finishing abilities.
As for the Houston Rockets, they may opt against this move in favor of continuing forward with Alperen Sengun as their starting center. On the other hand, having options is ideal in the stage of rebuilding this club is in.

Sengun is a high IQ playmaking big with slow feet and an average wingspan. Wiseman often looks lost, but he has the natural gifts to be a quality rim protector.
