1. Rudy Gobert
While the Dallas Mavericks were able to break through this postseason, their success kept another team from doing the same in the Utah Jazz. The Jazz has done excellent work in the regular season the last few years, but once the postseason rolls around, they haven’t been able to replicate it.
As a result, they could look to shake things up this offseason. Rudy Gobert is someone that has been mentioned as a potential trade piece and he would fit the mold of what Dallas is looking for in the middle of their lineup.
Rudy Gobert is elite on the defensive end of the court, taking home the Defensive Player of the Year award three times and being named to an All-Defensive Team six. He can excel in any scheme and the only thing that truly neutralizes him is small ball.
But, unlike Utah, Dallas currently has the personnel to combat that. Teams going small shouldn’t be as big of a deterrent for the Mavericks as they have numerous perimeter defenders that the Jazz is lacking.

Offensively, the Mavericks could devastate teams with the pick-and-roll between Doncic and Gobert. He is a lob threat every time down the court, and they could replicate offense like the Houston Rockets did with James Harden and Clint Capela.
Anything Rudy Gobert provides on that end of the court should be considered a bonus along with the defensive presence that he provides.
