Milwaukee Bucks Receive: F Royce O’Neale
If the Milwaukee Bucks missed one player besides Middleton this postseason, it was probably P.J Tucker. His energetic brand of versatile defense certainly gave them a boost during their 2020-21 championship run.
Royce O’Neale is a suitable replacement. He provides much of the same value that Tucker does. He’d be the perfect addition for this team to make this summer.
If the Jazz are making him available, we can assume they’ve been forced into a rebuild. That’s looking increasingly likely. The rumors that Donovan Mitchell is angling for a departure are becoming too loud to ignore. If they’re hosting a firesale, this deal ought to work for them.
After all, they’re not likely to fetch a great deal more for a 28-year-old role player in O’Neale. At 26, Allen is a slightly better fit for a rebuilding timeline. The Bucks send them a couple of second-round picks as an extra incentive.

The Milwaukee Bucks should be watching the Utah Jazz closely. If they’re truly about to fall apart, they should position themselves to pick up a piece in O’Neale.
