Phoenix Suns
The Suns are at a crossroads. It looks to be the end of the line for this group, with Ayton apparently upset over his contract and Paul nearing 38.
The Suns, above all, need an aggressive player who can get to the rim and score. Westbrook was exactly that in his prime, a relentless force attacking the rim and setting up teammates.
Phoenix is actually a very good fit for Westbrook if he can get close to that level again. Westbrook’s drive and kick game is his best asset, and he could easily be surrounded by effective shooters in Phoenix. Even if the Suns lose Ayton, Westbrook would be a very nice fit.
Austin Reaves, too, is an intriguing piece. Reaves showed a lot of potential in his rookie season, even on the train-wreck Lakers roster. Reaves showcased real shooting talent, even hitting a game-winner over the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season. He’s not quite NBA-sized yet, but he showed potential on defense as well and could fit with Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson in Phoenix’s wing group.

The deal is a gamble – but it could be a smart one. It may be time to sell high on CP3 for Phoenix. If Westbrook returns to form, he could make the Suns dangerous once again.
