Making the Case: LA Clippers
Just like it is for the Washington Wizards, the benefit in this trade for the LA Clippers is easy to see. It has been a few years now since the Clippers put Kawhi Leonard and Paul George together. Now, they can continue to build a big three that is ready to win right away.
The Clippers would be extremely difficult to defend if Beal was put on the perimeter. He can get it done from all three levels and is one of the league’s leading scorers over the last three years.
Opposing defenses would have three different players to worry about that could be doubled on any given night. This will also be possible to pull off because they would need to put attention on all three.
The only question mark in this deal is if the Clippers are ready to mortgage some depth. This is what we saw their crosstown rival do in acquiring Russell Westbrook and it did not work out in year one.

While Beal would give the Clippers the best trio in the league, he would also be expensive and Los Angeles would have to pay with rotation players.
If the front office wants to make a huge splash and believes that Beal is a missing piece, this is a blockbuster trade that could put them over the top. The Western Conference is only going to continue to improve and teams will continue to load up on stars. This is a way for the Clippers to keep up in a difficult conference.
