Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz have already been linked to De’Andre Hunter’s name. Chalk it up to a rumor mill that churns more rapidly with every passing season.
As it stands, the Jazz are in a precarious position themselves. It feels likely that, for several reasons, they’ll part with one of Donovan Mitchell or Rudy Gobert this offseason. It just so happens that the Hawks could have an interest in either.
Ironically, Hunter is exactly the type of player this year’s Jazz could have used. With Rudy Gobert patrolling the paint, they designed a roster that stacked offensively talented players at the expense of perimeter defense.
It was a miscalculation. Gobert propped up the league’s 10th best defense, but he obviously needed help. Whether the Jazz are parting with Mitchell or Gobert, they should chart a course that sees them acquiring 3-and-D wings of Hunter’s ilk.

The Hawks could justify targeting either of their superstars. If the Jazz are forced to deal one of them, Hunter is a perfect player for them to target in return.
