Utah Jazz Receive: F Harrison Barnes, C Richaun Holmes, 2022 First-Round Pick (SAC), 2024 First-Round Pick (SAC), 2026 First-Round Pick (SAC)
Sacramento Kings Receive: G Donovan Mitchell
The Utah Jazz may want to see where the Sacramento Kings’ 2022 first-round pick lands before they pull the trigger on this one.
After all, it is in the lottery. The Kings were the seventh-worst team in the NBA this season. That means they’ve got a chance of landing in the top 3, but it’s a narrow one.
If their pick did convey in that region, the Jazz would have to pounce on this offer. They’d be trading Donovan Mitchell for the rights to draft one of Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, Jabari Smith Jr., or Jaden Ivey in addition to two future first-round picks.
On the other hand, if the pick did convey lower, they should probably still give this offer some thought. Barnes and Holmes are here to match contracts. They’re trading Mitchell for three first-round picks. Given that those picks are coming from the Kings, they feel like premium assets.

On the other hand, a more eager team may offer a larger volume of draft capital for Mitchell. If the Sacramento Kings need to field a more competitive offer, they may have to involve a third team in this transaction.
