At this point, putting a value on Ben Simmons is immensely complicated.

On the one hand, his floor vision is elite. His defense is even more so. He brings a lot to the table that benefits an NBA team.

On the other hand, he’s limited. His disdain for shooting threes is well-documented. That’s a significant issue for a lead ball-handler in 2022. All of which is beside his inconsistent availability.

The first package felt like it could undersell him. This one does the opposite. Rozier and Oubre combined may offer as much immediate impact as Simmons alone, and they’re both generally free to, you know, play the games.
