1. LA Clippers
The LA Clippers are going to return to contenders again during the 2022-23 season. They are getting Kawhi Leonard and Paul George back and healthy, which will make them a tough team to beat. LA also re-signed Robert Covington already, but there is still some work left to do.
One of the team’s needs this offseason is a point guard. At the end of the season, Reggie Jackson was the only point guard on the roster. That is something that will need to change this offseason.
The LA Clippers won’t be big players in free agency as they do not have the cap space to make moves. But, they should pursue Ricky Rubio with the mid-level exception they will have or a veteran’s minimum contract.
The appeal of playing for a contender should be enough to draw Rubio’s interest. Offering him a significant role in the rotation upon his return to the lineup could help get him to put pen on paper. Rubio would be the backup option to Jackson and would be a good fit for this lineup.

His playmaking would take pressure off of his teammates and set them up to succeed. He is also a very good defender, which fits in with an LA Clippers team that will be among the best in the league on that end of the court.
Another point guard is really the only thing the LA Clippers need to find this offseason, as the rest of the roster is deep and talented, ready to make a run next season.
