Making the Case: Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have a decision to make on Nikola Vucevic moving forward. He has one year left on his deal where he is owed $22 million. This is a team-friendly deal for the player that they are getting but it all comes down to if the Bulls want the big man around long-term.
This was a busy offseason for the Bulls but they seemed to improve the backcourt. DeRozan, Ball, and Caruso all contribute from the perimeter while Vucevic remains down low. At this point, they do not have many options, especially with Lauri Markkanen in Cleveland.
Horford would be coming back in the deal to take over as a more traditional center. Nesmith is a prospect that the Celtics feel good about moving forward, which is why they believe he can be flipped for a big name.
He would improve the depth coming off the bench even further for a team looking to become a staple in the postseason in the Eastern Conference.

With the guards in place, the Bulls could benefit from a traditional center who can rebound and score with his back to the basket. Again, this all depends on the direction the front office would like to go.
