Making the Case: Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics seem to enter every year with hopes of winning a title. That is the case for a storied franchise like Boston. This season, they finished near the top of the Eastern Conference and have what it takes to win.

While the Celtics are focused on the postseason, this does not mean that the front office is not steps ahead. Looking ahead to the offseason, the Celtics could make a splash for Nikola Vucevic. He has one year left on his deal and this is where the Celtics could take advantage of a trade.

When looking at the rotation, the Celtics have struggled in the frontcourt for years now. This has been their downfall. With Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in the backcourt, the Celtics should be looking for that scoring big man to solidify the roster.

Vucevic averaged 17.6 points and 11.0 rebounds this season. His three-point numbers dipped a bit but he is a big man who can get comfortable from deep.

On both ends of the floor, Vucevic is productive and can play many roles. With the versatility of the Boston Celtics, Vucevic would add a new dynamic and take the team up a notch. This could be the missing piece to make the Celtics even bigger title contenders.
