If Donovan Mitchell demands his way out of Salt Lake City, the Chicago Bulls offer a pretty compelling package.
The Utah Jazz may insist on more draft capital, because they may be fielding offers that contain them. The Bulls should offer at least one more in that event. Still, in terms of pure value, this looks like a reasonable offer. If you disagree, you may be underrating Patrick Williams.
The fourth overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft has been sensational when he’s been able to see the floor through his young career. His average of 9.2 points per game over his career tells you nothing. He’s hitting 41.3% of his threes, and that’s not even the best part of his game.
Williams has All-Defensive team potential as a versatile wing/forward who can disrupt opposing teams in the paint and on the perimeter.

He’s a stud, but Lonzo Ball is no slouch either. He’s effectively transformed into a 3-and-D guard who largely makes use of his elite floor vision in transition. At 24, he’s still young enough to be a pillar of a Utah Jazz rebuild.
On the other hand, in a situation where LaVine preferred to leave, Mitchell would be a perfect replacement for him.
